Washington Anti-Trafficking Engagement Day - January 13th

This Women of Vision chapter is committed to lending its voice and other resources to advocacy activities that will empower and protect women and children both here in the U.S. and internationally. Therefore we have opted to take a strong role in the upcoming Washington Anti-Trafficking Engagement Day, to be held at our state capitol in Olympia, on the afternoon of January 13th. Volunteer activites for the engagement day portion of the afternoon begin at 2pm.

This is an event where you can use YOUR voice. Even if you cannot volunteer, we invite you to come -- all friends and partners are encouraged to attend - this is a Public Event with media coverage!

Event time at the capitol: 3:30-5pm

PLUS: We believe so strongly in this effort that we are also dedicating volunteer hours and chapter funds to host a luncheon for legislators on this day. While guests for this luncheon are by invitation only, we do need chapter leaders and partners to volunteer for set up and service during the luncheon.

The speaker will be Bradley Myles, CEO of the Polaris Project.

If you are a chapter partner or leader and can help with the luncheon (or with the engagement afternoon volunteer activities), please email wovsouthpugetsound@gmail.com as soon as possible, and we will give you a job to do! Arrival time for luncheon volunteers is 11am. Location is United Churches, 110 11th Ave SE, Olympia.
